DETERMINATION
Last time, we spoke a little about Attitude. Today, I'd like a talk a little about Determination.
Other than Attitude,
Determination is possibly the second most important key to success. One of the definitions of determination provided by Webster's
Dictionary is: "a firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end". Determination is that human quality that says: "I will not let
circumstances or events beyond my control limit me; I will not be deterred; I will persevere to the end, I will reach the desired
goal."
It is one of human nature's most attractive and desired personality traits. It is what makes "Michael Jordans"; "Magic Johnsons",
"Larry Birds", "Bill Gates", "Michael Phelps", "Mary Lou Rettons", Cal Ripkens", "Babe Ruths", Jackie Robinsons", and "Carl Lewises".
A determined spirit not only affects the individual; it inspires and uplifts those around us - so be determined!
